What to prepare before a quote.

01 Describe the furniture you need.

Start with a product list and the quantity of each item. Separate kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, desks and other furniture rather than describing everything as one package. If the project covers several rooms, label them consistently in your list and drawings.

Reference a product from the KLDS catalogue when it is close to what you need. Explain which features you want to keep and which need to change.

02 Send dimensions and references.

Provide a plan with dimensions and relevant site photographs. Show windows, door openings, service points and fixed obstacles. State the units used and identify approximate measurements that still require confirmation.

Include a small selection of visual references for colour, texture and furniture style. Add a note explaining what you like in each image. A reference picture alone may leave the intended materials or layout unclear.

03 Explain the destination and schedule.

Share the delivery country and city, the required delivery window and the intended installation arrangement. Discuss whether the order will be supplied assembled or in components, and identify any special access or handling constraints.

If your project requires specific documentation or packaging marks, mention them in the initial enquiry. Pricing and delivery proposals depend on the confirmed scope, destination and agreed terms.

04 Review what the quotation includes.

Compare the quotation with the product list, drawings and finish references. Check quantities, dimensions, materials, fittings, packaging and the stated delivery scope. Ask about any item that is not clearly included.
